For Sale: Complete in box computer motor control align telescope with AutoStar handheld controller.
Carefully checked and 100% complete, near mint condition. Controller still has clear plastic protective film over the display. Works great and has very powerful optics. Includes motorized robotic pan/tilt mount, portable aluminum tripod, two eyepieces with carrying cases, working "red dot" laser locator with good battery, dust cap, camera mount (AFAIK), Instructional DVD and AutoStar Suite Astronomer Edition Software for PC DS-2000 series. Includes manual with Addendum, reg. card, and misc. paperwork. Plus some other misc. items.
Checked with batteries (takes 8 AA) and the motorized pan/tilt working correctly. Alphanumeric display and all controls on the AutoStar handheld working correctly. I started the alignment process and it went smoothly. Went through the AutoStar menus and everything worked as expected.
Only minor issue is that the plastic battery holder needed a minor repair to wiring so I added a battery clip then covered the wires with heat shrink tubing, and then used epoxy to make sure everything stayed secure. See photos. If you wanted you could purchase a new battery holder off eBay for around $6 with free shipping but not needed as repairs work great.
