Celestron SkyScout - PERSONAL PLANETARIUM - star locator w/GPS

$25.00

For Sale:  Tested and working computerized device that you can point at a star or planet and it will tell you it's name and other facts about it displayed on the backlit LCD screen or through audio.

You can also type in the name of a star, planet, constellation, etc. and then follow the red arrow pointers in the viewfinder until they all line up at which point the chosen object will be in the center of the viewfinder.

Uses GPS and I assume some kind of electronic compass and angle detector. It's pretty amazing. I tested this carefully and it works as it should. After it gets a GPS fix you just center the star in the middle of the viewfinder and press "Target" button. The name of the star then shows on the display. I easly identified Beetlegeuse and Sirus. You can also choose "brightest objects in the sky" and then take a tour of them.

Uses standard AA batteries and the metal batteries shields are included.
