Olympia model SM-8 - MANUAL TYPEWRITER - made 1964, 13" platten

For Sale: Classic rare 1964 SM-8 typewriter in great working condition. Made in W. Germany.

Serial number is 2457502 which dates it to 1964 and the logo is in turquiose - only produced in 1964. And additionally the platten is the wider 13"+ inch type all of which makes this a very rare unit.

Does not show much wear and is pretty clean. Works 100%, no issues. No sticky keys. Ribbon works but should be replaced or re-inked as the type is faint, see photo of actual type. The oversize platten allows you to use larger legal size paper or type in "landscape mode" on regular paper.  Includes the large original case which shows some wear but is solid.
