The first Romance of the Three Kingdoms game, put out by Koei in 1988. Contents are in mint or near mint condition and look almost unplayed. The box shows very little wear.
All three 5.25" disks have been archived and tested for readability. The 111 page manual is in mint shape. Also included are the info poster, fold out poster map, warranty card, and vintage Koei game brochure. You will have a hard time finding this rare game in better condition.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a multiplayer kingdom management strategy game, is the first installation in Koei’s namesake historic simulation series, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. You assume the role of an historic Three Kingdoms ruler as you manage your kingdom, officers, diplomatic relations and economy, drafting troops, and waging war—all in a bid to unit China under your flag.
Characters and events in Romance of the Three Kingdoms are inspired by the novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sanguo Yanyi), written in the Ming Dynasty, 14th century, by famous Chinese author Luo Guanzhong. Events in Romance of the Three Kingdoms are, in majority, based on historic government records from the Three Kingdoms era of Chinese history—a chaotic period marred with civil war as famous warlords fought amongst themselves for control of China—and further romanticized through storytelling, folklore, and the mind of a brilliant author.
