For Sale: Tested and working internal Leslie type speaker setup from a Baldwin organ made around 1971.
This was a built in style Leslie and it's the only one I have ever seen with this design. When you apply power to a motor the spindle raises up about a half an inch and makes contact the rubber lined bottom of the rotor drum pulley directly. So no belts to wear out. Position of the motor can be fine tuned then tightened in place.
This assembly used a 10" CTS speaker that I am selling in a separate listing, looks like it would probably work with the standard 8" as well. Am including both the top and bottom wood pieces that have the bearings in them, you will need to construct the rest of the cabinet to mount this but should not be difficult as I have included the mounting brackets.
This is not marked Leslie anywhere but the design is so quite similar to traditional Leslie speakers so if they did not license I am sure they had a lawsuit on their hands.
