1980's ADC LT34 - LINEAR TRACKING TURNTABLE, unused in box

$50.00

For Sale:  Older classic LT-34 linear tracking turntable that has never been used except for some basic testing by me.

Protective plastic is still on the center of platter and tape still holds the 45 RPM adapter in place.   This takes a P-Mount phono cartridge which was not included when I found it (probably why the table never got used) so I have added a good quality Technics P24 P-Mount cart.  There is no stylus, you can buy one on ebay for about $10 with free shipping.   The dust cover was packed separately in plastic and is in good shape.  Box includes styrofoam packing.  There is some dust and "shelf wear" from storage but not bad.

Testing results:   From what I can tell all you will need to play albums is a new stylus.  Pressing the start button in 33 RPM mode will bring the tonearm to start of album where it will slowly drop.  Angling the tonearm slightly towards the center like it would if it had a stylus and was playing album will slowly move it forward until you get to the end of the album, then it will raise, slowly move back to the tonearm holder, and power the table off.  The movement back can be a little slow but I tried this several times and it worked correctly every time.   I also tested in 45 RPM speed and the tonearm would move to where a smaller 45 RPM record would start and slowly drop.   However I could not get it to raise and return at the end of record in 45 RPM speed, not sure why.  It always did in 33 RPM mode.   Reject button works correctly and will raise tonearm, return to holder, and power down when pressed.  Both speeds seem correct and motor/belt seem strong.   The strobe light is not lighting up.

Turntable will probably benefit from some lubrication in the correct spots since it has been sitting for a few decades.   Some research indicates the tonearm uses a separate smaller belt which you can still buy online if needed.  Sold as-is but described carefully and honestly.
