For Sale: Classic vintage Utah speakers. Made in the USA probably between 1971 and 1974.
These work great and have excellent sound quality. Quite heavy and high quality construction with real wood oiled walnut veneer. Drivers are all original made by Utah and include a 12" woofer, 8" sealed back midrange driver, and a 3.5" tweeter. All drivers tested individually and are working correctly. The woofers have treated textile surrounds so they won't rot and need replacing like foam surrounds eventually do over the years. Each speaker has a tweeter level control on the rear that is working as it should.
The grills are either glued or stapled in place so did not attempt to remove them. Grill fabric in good shape. Took photos of one with back off so you can see the drivers. Cabs show some wear and scratches, not too bad. Should sand down and refinish pretty well if that's your thing.
Some research shows this same basic speaker was put out by Utah under several other model names including the A-90 and MP-1000. It's an acoustic suspension design, around 30-20Khz frequency response, and around 23"x 14"x 10".
