Hyde Park 1952 - RECORD PLAYER - w/tube amplifier, parts/repair

$35.00

For Sale:  Model 347. Vintage suitcase record player from the 50's. Record spins, needle tracks, but no sound amplification. Sold as-is for parts or repair.

The power/volume switch is working and can tell the tone dial is also working. All three speeds are working. The motor movment of the platter is strong. When tonearm is placed on a record does not slide or skip and seems to be playing correctly, but no sound only a hum from the amplifier.

The tube amp circuitry is super simple- there are two tubes, 3 capacitors, 5 resistors, and two pots. That's it. Two of the caps are on one multi cap and are 40mfd. Also one .1 mfd. I'm guess the power caps are the 40mfd and they need replacing, think I will give it a try as have one of these caps around here somewhere if it does not sell quickly. Could also be the tubes.

Stamped inside the wood case is date Dec. 8, 1952.  Includes 45 RPM adapter.

Overall some wear, not too bad. Looks complete and all original.
