For Sale: Selling a rare Bose Acoustic Wave unit. The system has excellent sound quality with classic Bose imaging and bass response. The built in Bose CD player is not working reliably- it worked fine when I tested before buying, fine when I took photos, and then when someone came to check it out stopped reliably reading discs. When it correctly detects a CD it will play it back fine with no skipping. You can start, stop, change tracks, etc. When it doesn't identify a disc you are out of luck.
So I've added a Koss CDP687 portable CD player along with RCA cable for connecting from the line out jack to the Bose RCA aux. input jacks. Works perfectly and has the same excellent sound quality as the Bose CD did PLUS it has 40 second anti-skip protection and Dynamic Bass Boost option. I put some removable velcro pieces on the bottom of the CD player and top of the Bose to hold in place during the late night dance sessions.
The CD 3000 unit has some minor cosmetic wear but sound quality is excellent. All controls good. Excellent reception on both AM and FM, original antenna in good shape, and there is a jack for hooking up external antenna. Includes power cord and can also run on 12-15 volt DC through jack on back- great for tailgating as can run off vehicle battery. Rear RCA stereo connections for Aux. input, Mic, and line out. All the control buttons and the LCD display are working 100%. No issues. You can also use this with your iPod or MP3 player or phone as long as it has a standard .35mm headphone jack output- just take the cable out of the CD player and plug it into your player.
Koss CD player includes AC adapter power supply, can also run on AA batteries.
