AAL model 103 - STEREO SPEAKERS - 3 way, good bass and highs

For Sale: Good sounding set of budget large bookshelf or small floor speakers.

The Technics receiver in the photos has been sold, this listing is just for the speakers.

All six drivers are working great, no issues. The cabinets and grills show a fair amount of wear, see photos. One of the woofers has some kind of residue near the bottom of foam surround but this appears to have effect on the sound quality- have excellent bass response.  The cones have no rips, holes, tears, or voice coil rubbing. The tweeters sound great.

There were some mounting bolts on the back of these and when I took them off filed in the holes with Plasticine, also added some good quality acoustic insulation to the cabinets.

AAL is apparently American Acoustic Labs and also made speakers for MTX, sold at Sears and Best Buy, etc. They are not high end audiophile speakers but work great for some situations. These speakers remind me of some Cerwin Vega! speakers with a distinctive high frequency response. They are great as "Rock and Roll Party Pounders" where you won't get too upset if someone spills a beer on one...
