For Sale: Classic early 6L6GC tube powered amp made in the USA.
120 watts - 4 ohm. This appears to be the first model Deuce produced as it does not have a phase control. The two 12" speakers have been changed to good quality B-52 LG-1208a's which are rated 100 watts each/8 ohm, 70 ounce magnets, wired in parallel so you get the correct 4 ohm load as required for this amp. Three of the 6L6 tubes appear to be the factory original Sylvanias, one was bad when I got it so I replaced with a vintage Sylvania 6L6GC that came from a Baldwin organ.
Amp sounds excellent and works with no issues. Good power light, all controls good, good clean and distorted channels. Can get extremely loud, no excessive static or hum. Some pots have a little noise in them when turned but not bad, a good cleaning should take care of it but not necessary. Tolex shows very little wear. Small tear in grill fabric if you look close. There is an extra 1/4" output jack on the back that is hooked up to some resistors, otherwise appears all origiinal and unmodified. Amp was made for 4 ohm speaker load but will adjust to 2 ohm load if you connect second speaker to External Speaker jack.
