For Sale: Classic Hot Wheels race set in good playable condition.
Includes the two original cars that are in quite nice shape considering how abused older cars can be- a blue Porsche 959 #7 and a yellow Ferrari Testarossa #59. Also comes with a vintage Matchbox Firebird "Hot Bird" car that shows a fair amount of wear and a Hot Wheels LTD police car. Looks like the previous owners were Smokey and the Bandit fans and used these cars instead of the pack ins... Nice.
Set is complete except for the cardboard stadium backdrop. Two minor issues are that one of the 5 red track connectors got chewed on (see photo) and one of the 6 yellow connectors for the jump assemblies has a snapped peg- still works fine and the peg is stuck inside one of the yellow sides, if you wanted you could remove and super glue it back into place but it's not necessary. This is shown in the last listing photo.
The launchers work well to propel the cards around the tracks and the "shifters" have good spring action. No issues. You can set this up with or without the jumps.
Box is solid but has wear and clear tape on it. Makes for good storage container in between Christmases.
