Minolta 7000i Maxxum 35mm CAMERA, mint in box - parts/repair

Camera is in mint or near mint shape and almost looks new/unused.

I tested with batteries but does not power on- has unknown issue. The lens is a Minolta Maxxum AF Zoom 35-80mm 1:4 (22)-5.6 Includes original box, lens manual, misc. paperwork, and original receipt. Cost $572.00 from New York Camera of Princeton NJ back in 1989.
