This is Jameco P/N 2168940 blue 8x8x8 LED cube kit. Retail price on their site is $149.95.  It includes an Arduino UNO computer model that you can use to program the cube and make animations, patterns, etc. There are 512 LED lights in the cube. Lots of info on the web on this:
