This comes with one camera and one monitor. It's a very easy system to set up because the camera only requires one cable- a 60 foot cable is included. Many inexpensive CCTV systems require separate power to the camera... This heavy duty power supply hooks up to the monitor and also supplies power to the camera. You can add a second camera if you want and the monitor can switch between the two automatically. There are outputs for hooking up to a VCR or DVR video recorder. Instructions say the cable can be a maximum of 300' with extensions
I checked this out carefully and the only (very minor) issue I see is that the metal bar that attaches to the mounting piece has nothing to keep it from pulling out if it is hung horizontally or upside down. It looks like there was supposed to be a little clip that went in from behind and secured the post with a spring action, however no clip was included. I improvised and am including a screw that will keep the post in place securely- see last photo. You may be able to make a clip or find a better way of keeping the mounting bar in place but the screw should work fine.Send your zip code for ship cost- should be between $8.95 and $15.95 if you are in the continental USA (Nov. 2012).
