Bose 301 Series I - WOOFER SPEAKER - square magnet, CTS?

For Sale:  Vintage late 1970's 8" driver from the original 301 speakers, might be correct replacement for the 601 too.

This needs new foam surround. I will refoam it for you for an extra $7.  I can also include a surround that will work well for $3- no OEM foam (if they even make that anymore) but decent quality surround that I've used on many Bose 8" drivers with excellent results.

Even with the deteriorated foam the sound quality is pretty good at medium volume. Cone is in excellent shape with no rips, tears, holes, or voice coil rub. This looks like it might have been custom made for Bose by the CTS Chicago Telephone Supply Co. but I can't make out the lettering on the top of the magnet.

Mounting gasket included, the foil label shown in listing is for reference only and is not included.
