Magnavox FD2040 audiophile CD Player - w/new belt, working 100%

For Sale: A legendary single tray CD player made in Belgium September of 1985.

This deck is in near mint shape. When I found this up it worked great but the tray would not close the last 1/4" without a little push so I put a new belt in and it now opens and closes perfectly. The laser lens was also carefully cleaned at that time. Sound quality is excellent with headphones or hooked up to your amp. Has good vibration resistance and no skipping. All  controls, display, features, switches, etc. are working correctly.

Weighs close to 16 pounds. High quality construction. Uses Philips CDM-1 laser transport mechanism and two TDA1540P 14 bit DACs as well as an SAA7030 4 times oversampling digital filter. 16.5 x 3.6 x 11.8 inches. This model was also made under the Philips name model CD204
