Speakerlab DAS-7 - 1980's FLOOR STEREO SPEAKERS, massive!

For Sale: Tested and working set of very rare Speakerlab floor speakers made in or around 1987 probably as a kit with pre-assembled cabs.

Excellent distinctive sound quality, some of the best sounding speakers I have come across and have owned a lot of high quality speakers. These are 4 way with tweeter, midrange, mid bass 10" driver, and rear mounted 12" driver.

When I got these the original Vifa tweeters were dead and the 10" mid woofers needed refoaming. I replaced the tweeters with some higher quality Vifas from a set of Pinnacle Gold Tower Classics and they sound excellent. I refoamed the 10" and they have no rips, tears, holes, or voice coil rubbing. The rear mounted 12" woofers have firm foam and I suspect they and the midrange drivers had been refoamed some time ago but am not positive. Cabs are thick oak veneer and show very little wear. Some fading is evident where the grills covered the wood for years but doesn't look bad at all. A few minor spots have wear on veneer, again not bad at all.  Grills have original Speakerlab logos and are solid, very little wear on grill cloth.

Extremely heavy cabs probably around 80 pounds each make these too big to ship unless you arrange freight pickup and packing. Local pickup only...
