For Sale: This vintage Allen two channel tube amplifier was carefully tested on Oct. 14, 2024 and appears to be working 100%. Should make an excellent "hi-fi" stereo amp but am sure some minor modification will be needed if you are planning on using for anything other than a vintage Allen organ amplifier.

All tubes are included as shown. A power cord is included but not wired up.
The first video was taken the day I picked this up with the Allen Sheraton theater organ and two Allen speakers- before I replaced a bad 12AY7 preamp tube. Even working just on the one Flute channel sound quality was excellent- full range from with no hum or distortion, good volume control, could get quite loud. Once the 12AY7 tube was replaced (used a vintage 12AX7 tube which is included) both Flute and Reed channels worked excellent with no apparent issues. From the highest note on the organ to the lowest note on the footpedals both the gyrosonic speaker (2 x 8" drivers) and the main speaker (2 x 15" plus 2 x 8" drivers) worked and sounded great. You could hear the organ playing three blocks away.
Shows very little wear, no apparent damage or issues. Appears all original and untampered with. Has been cleaned up some (dust and dirt), can use some additional cleaning.
Serial number is 0283. Made in Macungie PA in or around 1961 (the speakers and speaker cabinet were all dated 1961). Uses four 6L6-GC power tubes, two 12AU7 tubes, two 12AY7 tubes, and two 5U4 rectifier tubes. The four matching 6L6-GC power tubes are GE dated 1961 am sure are original. The two 12AU7 tubes are marked Sylvania. The 5U4 tubes are RCA and are most likely original. Both the 12AY7 tubes are GE and probably original- one was bad and was replaced with a vintage USA made green print 12AX7 Baldwin tube (Sylvania?). As you probably know you can substitute a 12AX7 for a 12AY7 no problem but the gain is lower, so you most likely will want to replace the Baldwin 12AX7 with the correct tube.
Organ was always in a private home since new, not sure how much use it got, was in pretty nice shape.
