For Sale: Amazing condition 40 year old classical guitar made in Japan in 1973.
Appears all original. Serial number appears to be 73348605. Neck is straight, action is low, no string buzz or any issues at all. There are no apparent chips, cracks, or scratches- mint or near mint condition. Looks almost new! A brand new set of D'Addario Pro-Arte EJ45 medium tension strings were put on in 8/2013 and they sound great. Includes the inexpensive but effective chipboard case that it was in when I found it.
Once again this is a 40 year old guitar!
Some info found on the web copied below:
.... Takamine began shipping into the USA regularly about 1974. From the serial number, your guitar was built in March 1973 (s/n 7303xxxx). The label in your guitar is the older style without the mountain. The guitar itself looks exactly like my 1974 model C132S right down to the inlay on the headstock, which I've never seen on other C132S USA-destined models. I'd say yours is my guitar's older brother.
If it is, you have a solid (you can tell if the grain of the wood cruves around the soundhole opening without interruption) cedar top and laminated rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, and rosewood bridge. The front of the headstock is laminated with rosewood. Saddle and nut are bone.
