Speakers: Massive Technics SB-K940 also probably from the late 1980's. 15" woofers have JUST BEEN REFOAMED in 5/2013 and should be good for another 25+ years. Deep deep bass, three way system, excellent sound quality. Rated 160 watts each, 8 ohms. Good match for this systems. Grills are solid but fabric does show some wear. Minor wear on cabinets.
Much nicer and higher quality then a lot of the Sony component systems being made today. The Technics speakers are an upgrade from the original Sony speakers that came with this system that only had 12" wooofers and were much smaller. You don't need a subwoofer with this system in my opinion. Best for Rock but will work well with all types of music.
