For Sale: Rare Squier II electric guitar in nice shape.
This one was hard to track down because no serial number and no "Made in..." decal. However I am 99% sure it was made in India. QA label under the pickguard is marked 1990, neck stamp is pretty much impossible to read the year. Online reasearch indicates Fender was making the Squier II in India around that time and the serial number was a sticker put on the back of the neck, now long since gone on this guitar. Some II's were marked Made in India on the headstock, apparently some were not.
Or MAYBE it's the fabled US made Squier II. Not likely...
Other clues to India manufacture are the rosewood fretboard, haven't seen any Korean model II's with rosewood. And there are only 10 screws holding the pickguard in place instead of 11 as usual? This guitar weighs a staggering 8 pound 10 ounces. That be heavy I think. Not sure what kind of wood the body is made of.
Appears all original, no modifications. The paint is in nice shape with no apparent serious scratches or dings. Metal parts have some minor tarnish. The neck appears to be nice and straight, little or no wear, plays great. Stings are probably 20 years old, still sounds good and stays in tune. All controls and pickups working correctly. No damage, no issues. Has adjustable truss rod, adjustment point is at neck under pickguard.
