For Sale: 2006 Apple Macintosh Pro desktop computer tower in excellent working condition.

Some minor cosmetic wear and scratches but works perfectly. Runs nice and cool and quiet. Includes the original AMT ATI Radeon 5770 1GB video card which was $250 upgrade for this model. There are 2 SATA hard drives included one is a 500GB with Lion OSX 10.7.5 on it which is the last officially supported Apple OS for this model. El Capitan 10.11.4 is installed on separate 80GB hard drive

Features two dual core Xeon 5150 2.66GHz CPUs, four cores total. 4MB L2 cache each. Can easily be upgraded to 8 core system relatively inexpensively using Xeon 53xx family of CPUs.

Has 32GB RAM with all 8 slots filled with 4GB ECC server memory modules. I believe but am not positive it's possible to upgrade to 64GB using 8GB sticks. Dual gigabit ethernet ports, Firewire 400, Firewire 800. The Radeon card has DVI and two mini DisplayPort video outputs. Optical audio input and output. 5 USB ports. Original Super Drive DVD burner is working well. There is an open spot for a second full size optical drive. Three hard drive sleds and screws are included, can take a fourth which you can purchase online to hold four 3.5" SATA hard drives. No bluetooth or WiFi, can be added easily. Carefully tested, no issues found although I have read there are a few programs which won't run on El Capitan correctly. It runs pretty fast but if you change to an SSD hard drive it will probably make an even bigger difference.

Boots to El Capitan, if you hold down the Alt button when powering up you can choose Lion OS. Should make a good budget studio audio recording setup with Pro Tools or similar software, might make a decent video editing setup for the right person.
