For Sale: Tested and working classic Technics stereo turntable/record player. Made in Japan probably 1980's.

This works well and has excellent sound quality with the include AT P-Mount phono cartridge. No skipping, no hum or distortion, good bass and treble response. This is a direct drive model and the speed sounds dead on correct.  Turntable has option to automatically detect the size and type of record and that feature appears to be working well. If there is no record on the turntable the sensor will detect this and not allow the cuing to lower, saving your needle from damage. Auto start and auto stop/return are working correctly.

The tonearm can be raised and lowered with the touch of a button and the tonearm can move forward or backwards by pressing the appropriate buttons. The tonearm also has a sensor on it that is supposed to detect the grooves in between the tracks and by pressing 1, 2, 3 etc. on the selector the tonearm is supposed to automatically move to the correct track, lower, and start playing. This feature works fine with some albums but with other albums does not always detect the track and will lower in on the wrong song or in between songs.  It's not a feature I really use so did not play around with it much but if you intend to use a lot you should keep this in mind. Might need calibration, might be because of the ambient sunlight in my testing area, or ???

Shows very little wear and is pretty clean. 45 RPM spindle is built in- just turn to raise it up. I just replaced the tonearm belt 6/2018.

Turntable comes with the original shipping accessories (very important!). One piece of plastic keeps the tonearm from shifting and breaking off during shipping. Two pieces of plastic lock the platter in place. And there is the original stylus cover. I've also printed out a copy of the manual.
