For Sale: A legendary 35mm film camera - seems to be working 100%. Serial number is 86239 which dates it to 1932.
The pull out type lens is probably original to this camera and is marked Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, Summar f=5cm, 1:2, #323543. Lens doesn't appear to have any scratches or fungus but I can see a couple small specks of debris in it so it will probably have to be cleaned before using. The aperture blades adjust correctly and it focuses well. If you view through rangefinder viewer you can see two images that will come together into one as you adjust the focus.
The shutter winding mechanism is working correctly. Shutter release button is working and the speed adjust is working- with the lens off can see the curtain opening and closing as shutter is fired and you can see it's speed change as you adjust the dial.
The original leather case has surface wear but is complete and no apparent damage. If you use leather cleaner or polish or whatever you use on these types of cases it will probably look really nice.
Camera was well taken care of- it's pretty clean with no apparent damage or issues. I haven't done any cleaning on it at all. Shows some minor wear if you look close.
Am not a camera expert and besides lens cleaning it's possible this may need additional cleaning, oiling, a tune up, adjustment, etc. before being used regularly.
