For Sale: Nice tested and working legendary 12.1 megapixel camera with original 14-45mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH zoom lens.

Includes two genuine Panasonic batteries, original battery charger, original Lumix strap, two lens caps, user manual, and an SD memory card. The batteries both appear to be holding good charges but not checked to see how long they last.

Camera is packed with high end features, just Google the model to read full specs, read reviews, and check out it's Wikipedia page. Auto focus and stabilization work great, shoots in RAW modes, has face detect, great optical zoom, ISO up to 3200, built in flash, fully automatic scenes or fully programmable, you choose.

NOTE: The camera works correctly on all functions and takes excellent photos. This model came with a type of rubberized finish and as sometimes happens with electronics and other products that use this type of coating it gets sticky over the years and rubs off. The remedy is to remove all the remaining rubberized finish using isopropyl alcohol exposing the hard plastic case. This camera has just been cleaned up carefully is currently not sticky, however some of the coating remains in spots, could probably be removed and look great if you have the time and patience. Wherever you hold the camera the coating has been removed. Does not effect use and doesn't look that bad. See photos for details.

----------------------------------
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 was the first digital mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera (MILC) adhering to the Micro Four Thirds system design standard. The G1 camera is similar to the larger Four Thirds system format DSLR cameras, but replaces the complex optical path needed for the optical viewfinder with an electronic viewfinder EVF displaying a live view image directly from the sensor. Eliminating the mirror box and optical viewfinder allows for smaller and lighter camera bodies, while the less complex optical path also allows for smaller, lighter lens designs.

The G1 camera and its lenses are smaller than competing DSLRs. It uses a sophisticated projection system to achieve a clearer, smoother image in its electronic viewfinder than in compact camera EVFs. As it lacks a separate autofocus sensor, the G1 uses contrast-detect autofocus, utilizing the readout from the main sensor. The performance of this AF system is comparable to the phase-detect systems in conventional DSLRs.
