Hallicrafters model S-38 SHORTWAVE TUBE RADIO 40's, w/tweed case

For Sale:   Includes a vintage custom built tweed case, manuals as shown, and misc. paperwork.

This classic tube shortwave radio works well- picked up transmissions on all four bands. No hum. Good dial light. All controls are working. Built in speaker and also tested with headophones.

Includes some kind of cloth wrapped antenna sections, a copy of the manual, spiral bound Installation and Operating Instructions for the S-38 Radio Receiver, Photofact folder.

There is cosmetic wear on the front finish of the radio, see photos. The wooden/tweed covered hard case is sold, shows some cosmetic wear. There is an extension wire for the antenna, as shown, Good handle. Looks cool.
