Marantz TA 100 - STEREO RECEIVER - w/phono inputs, works well, Japan

$45.00

For Sale: A classic stereo receiver made in Japan around 1986. It's a one piece unit (receiver) but is made to look like separate components- an ST 100 digital tuner and PM 100 integrated amplifier. What were they thinking?

Sound quality is excellent with no hum or distortion on either channel. Built in five band equalizer. Gets good FM stereo reception even with only a short piece of wire for antenna. All the buttons, controls, and lights are working as they should. The 10 station memory is working, FM stereo indicator is working, dual 7 LED power level meters are working, volume level LEDs are working. Has full size headphone jack. Phono inputs for your classic turntable without the need for a preamp.

Sometimes the frequency display doesn't display correctly but the station memory and buttons still work correctly. Usually if the display is blank you can press one of the tuning buttons it will come back on. Does not effect reception. The receiver shows some minor cosmetic wear and a plastic terminal for the "B" set of speakers has end clipped off. It's the black/negative/ground terminal so you can use one of the other three black speaker terminals instead. The well ventilated metal top has some dings and dents, not too bad. The faceplate and buttons have been cleaned, can use a little additional cleaning but not necessary.
