Bose Model 25 - SURFACE MOUNT SPEAKERS - 70 volt, 25 watt - tested good

For Sale:  Good sounding pair of weather resistant speakers meant for commercial spaces like restaurants, malls, stores, bars, etc.

These have a built in transformer and were made to be used with commercial 70 volt amplifiers where you could put a dozen (dozens?) of these connected in parallel to cover a huge area with high quality sound using only one speaker cable.

You can easily open up the speaker and bypass the transformer and connect what is now an 8 ohm impedance speaker to any stereo amplifier or receiver. I tried this and it sounded quite good - solid bass, good highs, no distortion. The original Bose setup originally used some kind of equalization but I don't think it's necessary.

Drivers are both perfect shape. Speaker cones no rips, tears, holes, or voice coil rubbing. Cabinet and metal grills are solid, minor cosmetic wear, no issues. There are no mounting brackets and one of the four mounting bolts is a replacement.

Bases have mounting holes for speaker stands.
