For Sale: Matched pair of genuine vintage 8" Epicure drivers removed from a model M602 speaker cabinet.
The cones have no rips, tears, holes, or voice coil rubbing. I got about 2.5 ohms DCR on my meter on both of these and am sure they are rated 4 ohm impedance. Good sound quality, no distortion or issues. I think the rubber surrounds are the same ones installed originally at factory but can't say for 100% sure. Screws and foam gaskets are included.
Note: these particular woofers left the factory with a cardboard gasket that was used underneath the rubber surrounds. This raised the surround and cone up about an 1/8" or so. I don't know why EPI did this but am sure they had their reasons.
Picked up a pair of rare M-602 speakers and am parting out because of poor condition and painted cabinets. The cabinets looked like they were matched set but had slight differences with the drivers as happens fairly frequently with EPI stuff I have found. One of the cabinets had two 8" drivers with rubber sounds that looked original, the frames were ALMOST identical to the 8" driver in other cabinet but slight differences and that driver had a foam surround. It was also about 2.5 ohm DCR.
These driver should be an excellent original replacements for other model EPI speakers as well as some Genesis speakers.
I have an almost identical looking woofer from an M-100 speaker that has a DC resistance of about 4.9 ohms, see my other listings if this is what you need.
