For Sale: Tested and working heavy (12+ pounds) high quality/high power 15" speaker from a Peavey TLS5 two way PA cabinet.
This driver got slightly wet at some point which mainly effected the cardboard gasket which is in poor condition. The very thick cone has a little bit of staining and two places near the center where it is just a TINY bit warped, see last photo for details. As far as I can tell this has no effect on the sound- speaker has excellent bass, no distortion at high volume levels, no voice coiling rubbing,. It's priced accordingly and should be an excellent budget replacement for a PA speaker, bass guitar speaker, DIY car/truck subwoofer, etc.
Treated textile accordion style surround in great shape. The layered cardboard gasket was separating and I put some glue on it after photos were taken to help stabilize it. You could remove it entirely and won't cause any issues. An edsgoodstuff(tm) item.
After the photos were taken I used some tacky glue to stabilize the cardboard gasket so it looks a bit different now. The gasket is thick and maybe 1/4" to 1/2" over the metal rim of the speaker. If you wanted you could remove the top part of it without much effort so the speaker would be flush with the cabinet you put it in.
