Quam 10ED15 - 10" FIELD COIL SPEAKER - new/old stock, w/box

For Sale: Vintage (most likely 1948) field coil speaker, tested and working. If it's not 1948 then it was probably made in 1958

This model shows up in a 1949 Radio Masters speaker catalog.  ED is for Electro Dynamic which is what they called their field coil speakers. Was told this was new old stock and despite some wear on the label where it rubbed against the top cardboard for the past 60+ years the cone looks brand new- I think it's NOS.

Box is labeled  Quam 10 Inch Adjust-A-Cone Electro Dynamic Speaker, Model 10E15, V.C. 6-8 phms, Type 10", Elec. Dyn., Field 1500 ohms.

The label on the speaker is 10ED15.

I got about 1400 ohms resistance on the field coil and about 3 ohms DC resistance on the voice coil.  The speaker had excellent full range sound when hooked up to a receiver- good bass and highs. When I put DC voltage into the field coil the sound got noticeably louder, I went up to around 15 volts DC, did not test at higher voltage levels because I have no idea what voltage is correct for the coil.
