University model 6303 15" - COAXIAL SPEAKER - 3 way diffaxial

For Sale: Pretty rare vintage "hi fi" speaker probably from the 1960's.

Excellent full range sound quality, excellent cosmetic condition. The cone has no rips, tears, holes, or voice coil rubbing. The metal horn works perfectly. No distortion or issues. I got approx. 9.5 ohms DCR on my meter which is exactly what you want to see on this model. This is missing the little round badge that would go on the top of the bell but it would say "University Model 6303, 30 watts, 8-16 ohms, 3-way Diffaxial Speaker System, White Plains, N.Y., Made in U.S.A."

Includes the high frequency level control, wiring, and the University Brilliance backplate as shown, works correctly.

The 6303s are high efficiency, were specified to run from 30Hz to inaudibility, and can handle 30 watts - they are the "medium power" version of the University 315 from the same time period, which was built to handle 50 watts
