For Sale: 2007 Dell Latitude "business class" laptop in excellent working condition. Packed with pro features. Fast- if you use Hibernation it will boot to desktop in about 13 seconds.

This may be one of the last laptops that was offered with Windows XP so full XP support and drivers are available. It can also run Windows 10 smoothly and some people even put early versions of Windows 11 on this model using workarounds. The CPU can easily be upgraded all the way to a Core 2 Duo X9000. RAM can unofficially be upgraded to 8GB max. Best thing about this model might be the LCD display which is super sharp with great color at 1280 x 800 resolution.

Windows XP Pro SP3 32bit Integral operating system is installed. Hundreds of security patches, updates, third party fixes, useful utilities, and programs like 7zip, Irfanview, Media Player Classic, WinAmp, CD burning software, image mounting software, and more are installed. Basic word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is installed as well. MyPal 68 web browser is installed and allows you to browse most modern websites and is based on backported Firefox 68.

A live BookwormPup64 Linux CD is included and works great on this laptop. You can safely get on the internet with it and it's packed with useful modern programs. A great introduction to Linux.. The onboard Dell Wifi does not work in Bookworm Pup so an external USB Wifi adapter is included that does work. See last listing photo for what the Linux desktop looks like.

This was set up as a retro gaming machine so tested a bunch of classic games from the Windows XP era and earlier, almost all ran great- see listing photo for games that were tested to play on this computer with no or very few issues. Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem, Raptor, etc. all run perfectly. 3D games like Unreal Tournament 2004, Doom III Arena, Diablo II, Warcraft, GTA, etc. almost all run well with perfect audio and good frame rates. There are demos, shareware, abandonware, full version stuff, etc. Check ebay video to see how fast this boots from Hibernation, how starts/plays some games, frame rates, etc. See the higher resolution screen shot to see what games were tested on this system...

All the keys on the keyboard were checked and are working. Removable DVD/CD burner working excellent. Trackpad and Accupoint mouse both working fine as are all four mouse buttons. Fans are not loud. Hinges are in good shape. Cover latch locks the top closed correctly. No apparent bad pixels on the display. Built in speakers have good sound, no distortion. No blue screens, freezeups, or issues happened during extensive testing. All buttons and LED indicator lights are working correctly.

Minor issues: 1). BIOS battery is probably dead but BIOS settings will be saved as long as the main battery in place or the laptop is plugged in. 2). Laptop is clean and overall very little wear but not mint- check photos carefully if this is important to you. 3). the screws that lock the hard drive and optical drive in place are not present, drives still stay in place firmly without them.
