MINOR ISSUES: 1) DVD does not seem to read any of my disks .2) Battery is not holding a charge. 3). Shows some cosmetic wear/scratches on the case and the screen has some lighter patches which you will probably only notice if the screen is all one light color like white. See last photo for details on this, it's the photo of the Google page. 4). One of the little rubber feet on the bottom is missing
This is one of the last SOny laptops that has good XP support and drivers available. Originally came with Windows 7, can also run Windows 10 smoothly and some people even put early versions of Windows 11 on this model using workarounds. This was set up as a retro gaming machine so tested a bunch of classic games from the Windows XP era and earlier, almost all ran great. Can't guarantee it will play your favorite classic PC game but you can message me and if I have a copy I can test out to confirm if it does or does not. Windows XP Pro SP3 32bit Integral operating system is installed. Hundreds of security patches, updates, third party fixes, useful utilities, and programs like 7zip. All the keys on the keyboard were checked and are working. Trackpad working fine as are both mouse buttons. Fans are not loud. Hinges are in good shape. Cover closes correctly. No apparent bad pixels on the display (but some lighter patches as mentioned). Built in speakers have good sound, no distortion. No blue screens, freezeups, or issues happened during extensive testing. Edsgoodstuff! All buttons and LED indicator lights are working correctly.
