1970's Sony PS-T1 - STEREO TURNTABLE - for parts, needs counterweight+

$35.00

For Sale: Made in Japan late 1970's. The motor is working well and AFAIK it does not need any repair. You will need the following parts or substitutes:

  • counterweight
  • headshell (uses standard type)
  • phono cartridge
  • platter mat (rubber or felt or ???)
  • tonearm holder clip (optional)
  • dust cover and hinges (optional)

Tested this using some taped on batteries as a substitute counterweight and a Stanton headshell and cartridge (not included). The strobe and pitch control are working correctly. Speed looks and sounds dead on correct both on 33 and 45 RPM. Both left and right channels sounded clear with no static, hum, or distortion. This is a direct drive semi auto turntable and auto return and shutoff worked well during testing. The cuing lever and action seem to be working correctly. Platter is original and in good shape. The four shock absorbing rubber feet on bottom are in good condition.

Cosmetically just a little minor surface wear. It's pretty clean but probably can use some detailing. Besides the tonearm holder clip don't see any damage.
