For Sale: This camcorder is being sold as is for parts or repair. It's currently partially working with the issue that as the tape runs it has a bit of an intermittent clicking sound and the video kind of skips a bit. If this model uses rubber belts it's my guess that the belt needs replacing either because of age or because it's shape has been distorted because it wasn't used for a long time.
It will play back video with just a little bit of an issue and when recording video it works to some extent but has small gaps in the recording. When these gaps show you can see the video that had already been on the tape.
AFAIK other than that issue the camcorder is working well - the touchscreen is working well, the LCD display looks good, all the control buttons seem good, motorized zoom is good, autofocus is good, onscreen menus all seem working correctly, picture quality is good, audio recording/playback is good. It loads and ejects the tapes correctly as you can see in the video. The display in the viewfinder is black and white and is working. Not tested were the USB and miniDV outputs but have no reason to think they have issues.
I charged up the included genuine Sony battery (battery charger not included, being sold in separate listing) and the battery shows a 100% charge. Not sure how long it will last but from what I can tell it's good.
Cosmetically there is surface wear to the finish and a little bit of general wear. I don't see any missing parts or damage.
