Records up to 408 standard definition hours or 47 high definition. Has built in digital tuner so you can (with a good antenna) pick up lots of free over the air digital broadcast and record them automatically, and fast forward through commercials as well.
I've owned this for about 6 years. For the first couple years I just used it to watch Netflix as it was activated, but it's not activated any longer. Amazon Prime video is still activated and yesterday I watched the complete movie- The Big Lebowski commercial free on Prime. No problems, excellent video and audio. If you want to pick up free TV OTA broadcast you will have to enter your zip code and go through Guided Setup, not sure if Prime will still work after that. Am not the original owner and never registered this to a Tivo account but from what I read online you don't need an account but if you already have one it MAY be possible to add this Tivo to your account if you call them up after going through Guided Setup.
Includes original remote control, box, packing, manuals, unused original HDMI cable, unused network cable, and power cord. Shows very little wear. Remote control has some wear on the lettering but all the buttons are good. Haven't used it much lately but did retesting last week- YouTube works but seemed a little flakey sometimes, not sure if it's my internet connection or something else. Watching live news TV through Prime was excellent as was watching movies, no issues. I didn't try the other Apps but should be fine.
This has option for Cable Card from local cable providers assuming they support that option.
