For Sale: Tested and working legendary Bozak mixer preamp in pretty nice shape. Made in the USA, heavy and high quality construction.
The front panel says "Mixer - Amplifier Model CMA 10-1" but there is no built in amp- only preamplifiers. Am selling a matiching CMA 80-1 power amp in separate listing.
This model has interchangeable boards and what I believe are interchangeable cylindrical transformers. There are four CMA-481 cylindrical modules plugged in, three CMA-482, and 3 sockets are empty. There are also four UB 1-3 pc boards, three marked A1017, and three pc board slots that have a single jumper wire in them. When powered on the speaker protection relay correctly switches on after a few seconds. During testing there was no excessive hum or static unless mike was not properly grounded. Sound quality was good. No power light or meter backlight- bulbs need replacing. VU level meter working correctly. Inputs 1-4 sound good and work as expected- crisp and clear sound, good bass and treble. Inputs 5-7 also are working as expect with lower sound level. Also as expected there is no apparent output with mike hooked up on inputs 8-10.
I am assuming in this configuration you would use the first four channels for microphone inputs and the next three for higher level input devices like radio, tape, record player, etc.
All dials and switches appear to be working correctly with no issues. Some minor cosmetic wear but not bad at all.
