For Sale- Tested and working classic/rare audiophile quality home stereo speakers. Made in the USA.
These work 100% and have excellent fantastic quality. My second all time favorite speaker behind the JBL L100. Give a listen and you will see why... The woofers and passive radiators all have rubber surrounds which will not rot and need replacing like foam surrounds do. Woofers have no rips, tears, holes, or voice coil rubbing. Tweeters are original and the domes are perfectly round.
The cabinets are solid and don't show much wear. Grill fabric shows some wear and one of the grill frames has a broken piece, still stays in place fine and looks OK when attached to cabinet.
Polk made very similar versions of the Monitor 10 speaker throughout the 1970's and 1980's. This one is labeled Monitor M10 and uses the standard dual 6.5" woofers, dome tweeter, and 10" passive radiator. I have not checked to see when it was made but the manufacture dates will be on the labels on back of all the drivers. I would guess 1986.
The basic specs for the Monitor 10 was a recommended amplifier power of 20-250 watts per speaker, 25Hz to 25kHz frequency response, 8 ohm nominal impedance. They weigh about 46 pounds each and measure about 28" x 15" x 12".
Send your zip code for ship cost- should be between $30.95 and $99.95 if you are in the continental USA (Dec. 2012).
