For Sale: This listing is for ONE Electro Voice professional quality 18" woofer. Currently have two available and will give discount if you purchase both of them.
These are rated 8 ohm impedance and I got around 5.2 ohms DCR each on my meter- 5.2 DCR is exactly what the specs specifiy... Both have cones marked on the back 79169. One has the EV logo on the dust cap and has a couple small whitish stains on cone that have absolutely no affect on sound. The other has a plain dust cap. Not sure why the difference as both appear to be original.
Sound quality is excellent. Cones have no tears, rips, holes, or voice coil rubbing. Accordion style treated fabric textile surrounds in nice shape. Firm but flexible cone movement perfect for sound reinforcement, woofers, subwoofer, musical instrument, bass guitar, etc. etc. These are professional drivers probably originally came with a name brand cabinet.
Stamped EVM Model 18B OEM Type 818 9850 8487. Approx. 5 pound magnet, 2.5" voice coil, 40-6000 hz, around 400 watts power handling capacity. Full specs available on the web.
