Good for use as CD music player because all controls can be accessed from the front panel- skip track, scan, etc. For DVD use all onscreen menues can also be accessed from the front panel unlike some players where you need the remote to access them.  If you need a remote a dollar store universal model should work fine.

Has all the standard DVD/CD features plus some ones I haven't seen before including a subwoofer pre out and controls for Advanced Surround sound, Bass Plus, Dialogue Enhancer, and Cinema modes. Also high speed scan up to 100X using a jog dial. Works perfectly, excellent video quality, perfect audio quality.

Has component, composite, and S-Video video outputs. Analog and digital optical audio outputs.
