For Sale: High quality unit allows you to record video to DVD or built in hard drive.

Fully tested and working 100%. Uses inexpensive blank DVD-R discs. You can use this to transfer old VHS home movies to DVD by hooking it up to your VHS tape deck. Packed with features. You will need a compatible universal or original remote control to use this- I tested with a Logitech Harmony remote and all the features are good. You can get a replacement remote on ebay for reasonable cost.

Note the built in TV tuner is not ATSC digital so you will need an inexpensive converter box if you want to use this with over the air free broadcasts.

Pioneer's DVR-520H doubles your video recording options. It combines a high-performance DVD recorder with a built-in 80GB hard drive, for ultra-flexible recording and playback possibilities. (And it excels at playing DVD movies in either standard or progressive-scan mode, too.)

The hard drive recorder is always ready to go at the touch of a button — no need to find and load a blank disc. The hard drive holds up to 17 hours of video in the super high-quality XP mode (with virtually zero loss in picture quality), or a whopping 102 hours in EP mode! Pioneer's Fast Dubbing feature lets you transfer material from the hard drive to DVD at speeds up to 24X — that's about 2-1/2 minutes for an hour of content! (24X rate is for material recorded to the hard drive in EP mode, and transferred to a 4X DVD.)

For material you know you'll want to keep, record it to write-once DVD-R discs, which can't be erased, and which play in nearly all DVD players. Camcorder owners will love the ability to make pristine DVD copies of videos for easy playback, and for sharing with friends and family. The DVR-520H's front-panel i.LINK® jack makes transferring video from a digital camcorder fast and easy. Archiving your precious home movies on DVDs saves space and eliminates worries about tape failure.
