Excellent sound quality, no skipping or hum. Included phono cartridge is an Audio Technica Series VIII and sounds like it's new to me- good bass and crisp highs. Stylus guard still in place. This is supposed to be a semi-auto turntable BUT the auto return is not working so consider it a full manual turntable. To start an album you raise the cuing lever, move the tonearm to the beginning of album, and lower the cuing lever. At the end of the album you must manually raise the lever and move the tonearm over to holder. The turntable will power off when the tonearm is placed on holder.
The speed sounds perfect to me and there are pots for adjusting the speed under the platter if needed. Shows some minor cosmetic wear, some scratches on dust cover, no chips or cracks apparent. This is basic and easy to use turntable with only two controls- one for 33/45 RPM speed control and the cuing lever.
