For Sale:  Pretty rare vintage Yamaha bass in good playable condition. Serial is ML31195.

This had some damage to the top where the volume, tone, and 1/4" jack attached to the wood body so the rear plastic cover was removed from the back and fixed into place on the front where the knobs and jacks were reattached. It's a pretty good "hack" and works perfectly, doesn't look to bad either. It makes this bass 100% unique in all the world.  Removable tacky glue has been placed internally around the new switch cover to help keep it in place (in addition to screws) and you access controls through back where there is still a metal cover in place as shown.

Fretless design but looks like flattened fret wires are installed which makes it pretty easy use and get the right positioning. I can play a little bass and found it very easy to play and it sounded great to me. No hum, no distortion, good volume and tone controls. When I found this there was some string buzz when tuned up and I could see there was slight upward bow in the neck- so I turned the truss rod 1/4 turn counterclockwise and the string buzz went away completely. Might benefit from further adjustment either at the truss rod, bridge, or intonation but seems pretty good to me right now as it is.

Looks all original. Has some wear.  One of the pickup screws is missing, doesn't seem to cause any problems.
