The was bought in 1995 for $600 and receipt is included. Looks like it was used very little or not at all. No dust builtup or signs of use. Includes installation manual, misc. paperwork, two installed large plates, one unused "small" plate in box. Fan is smooth and powerful. When Ionizer knob is turned all the way up a slight buzzing sound can be heard and you get that "fresh after the thunderstorm" air coming out so seems to be working perfectly. Really pumps out the ions. Great for removing odors, dust, smokers, etc. Says on the back that it is for commerical use...
As you probably know this generates O3 oxygen ions which some people say have health benefits and other people say the opposite. Also some people say it helps with plant growth. It is a good way for removing bad odors from cars- you close all the doors and windows and run this inside your vehicle for an hour or two, then start up car and run air conditioner/fans for a while. Have heard it's the only way to remove bad odors- if only Jerry knew about this before he gave his car away...
