Both decks are supposed to be be dual auto reverse- deck A works great in both directions. Deck B works great in forward play/record direction but when you try to play or record in reverse direction it actually plays the tape backwards. After some experimenting I found the reason it does this is because the swiveling tape head does not turn around when you push play/reverse button. I found I could manually turn the head and have it play correctly, and when forward/play button was pushed the head would then turn and play correctly as well. But if you pushed reverse/play again it would not play the tape backwards again unless head was manually turned.
So deck B is not really an "Auto Reverse" deck anymore, just a standard one direction tape deck. It works great in that capacity, sound quality is excellent, no other issues. Both deck's heads have just been cleaned and demagnetized. Both work on fast forward, reverse, play, pause, etc. Dual four digit digital tape counters both working, level meters working, music search working, tape dubbing working.
The deck shows very little wear overall but the Pioneer logo is missing. Original manual and some RCA interconnect cables are included.
