For Sale: Vintage US made Archtone archtop guitar is being PARTED OUT. This listing is only for the wood body and neck- no other parts are included, being listed separately. That means no bridge, tailpiece, tuners, etc.

The guitar was playable but action was very high as found. When I temporarily put a smaller bridge in place the action improved dramatically and there was no string buzz, still action was a bit high.  It appears as if the top near the bridge has raised up a bit.

Neck has a bit of a bow in it but not extreme.

The body is pretty solid but seams are coming unglued in places. Neck joint seems solid. There is plenty of wear and there is a hairline crack in the back.

I am guessing that an experienced repair person can steam the joints apart, reform and/or reset the solid birch body, patch the hairline crack, and reglue together. Am not an expert on this...

It's very faded but inside I can just make out some print which looks to say "...H121..." and am 99% sure it's an H1215. Other numbers look to say "...-71..." so will guess this was made in 1971 (also judging by the font of logo on headstock) which was the last year for the H1215.
