For Sale: Tested and working classic semiautomatic turntable in good shape. Made in Japan probably 1980's.
Working well. All original. The phono cart is a Shure probably model M70 with an original Shure 5X stylus. Sound quality is good with no skipping or hum. When needed replacement needles are readily available on fleabay for around $12-$16 with free shipping. Minor cosmetic wear only. Dust cover shows some wear but no chips or cracks. Hinges in good shape. Quatz lock feature holds speed rock steady. Includes original Sansui 45 RPM adapter.
This is a direct drive table so there is no belt to wear out. Semi auto so to play an album you raise the cuing lever, move the tonearm over to first track, SLOWLY lower the cuing lever, and the album begins to play. At the end of the album the tonearm automatically raises, moves back to holder, lowers, and the turntable powers off. Works perfectly every time, no problems.
Note: the cuing operation on this table is not damped so you have to lower the cuing arm lever gradually or the needle will bang against the record. It's possible to fix this feature but not necessary as long as you are careful. Most likely needs new damping fluid or just an adjustment.
