For Sale: "Closet Queen" condition....
Neck appears to be very straight and action is pretty low all up the fretboard. Solid birch construction. Original bridge in good shape. Top is nice and flat, no bulging or issues. Tuners are in pretty good shape with the D having just a little bend in it which you might be able to straighten but works fine so I'm not going to mess with it.
The lettering inside is hard to read but am pretty sure it says 5-67 Made in the USA in the green print and inside near the neck joint looks to say 7723 H604. Believe it's a Harmony H604 made for sale by Sears under the Silvertone name. Looks all original with no damage or repairs. Overall the finish is quite nice for 58 year old guitar with some small surface scratches and a little wear in places to the white paint "binding". The white could be touched up easily if you want. Neck joint is excellent. Don't see any fret wear.
What I am sure is the original chipboard case shows a little wear, works great, good latches.
It had nylon strings on when found but a few strings were missing so I tried some extra light steel strings with it- didn't really like the way it sounded so now it has normal tension Pro-Arte EJ45 nylon strings on it they have a very very nice sweet and "folksy" sound IMO. Very easy on the fingers. Very nice tone. The photos show it with the steel strings but it now has new nylon strings
